So, I am working for a guy doing some finish work on his new addition. We get along quite well, but I am wondering if he would still like me if I spoke my mind to him like he speaks his mind to me.
Today we were doing some stuff out in the garage and we stumbled onto the subject of politics somehow. Go figger. Anyway, he says "You probably don't want to start talking about politics, but...." and then he went on a rant about the Republicans and how they are supposed to be fiscally conservative and that George Bush, he was so stupid blahblahblah.
All I said was, "Yeah, Bush was bad but this supposedly smart guy we have now is even worse". Then he went off some more about how evil the republicans are and on and on. I just quietly did my work and didn't say anything more. But MAN I am tired of hearing that same old N.P.R. list of liberal talking points. And, by the way, I am NOT a Republican, but I do believe that America is a Republic.
The facts are these: The two partly system has failed us my friends. There is no such thing as a Republican or a Democrat anymore. They have become the same party with two different two-faced sales pitches. They both escort us down the same path. We careen left and then right and then left again, but the overall compass heading has gradually been in the same direction. We are being led farther and farther away from our founding principles.
EVERY one of our founders were in agreement that the foundation of a free and prosperous nation HAD to be laid upon the bedrock of Christian faith. I'm not making that up, bro. go and read the statements of the men who signed the Constitution. They were in total agreement that Religion and Morality were the only way to maintain the American Experiment. I will be writing much more on this topic in my book, "Things They Steal".
Today, you will never read that in a public school textbook. You will never hear a congressman stand before the assembly and pray to God and demand that we turn back to God. Ever since 1859 (the year that Darwin published The Origin of Species) we started down a different road, leaving our Creator behind. That is why 60 million Russians died in the revolution, and that is why America is waning now. And that is why my new friend wants to blame the Republicans for spending all the money, while ignoring the spending orgy of the Democrats for the last 4 years.
Did you know that all spending bills must go through the Speaker of the House of Representatives? Nothing gets taken up or spent without his/her approval. Since Nancy Pelosi took the position of Speaker, congress has spent 5 TRILLION dollars in NEW spending proposals. That's just in the last 4 years. Do you hear about this on your mainstream news? Does MSNBC remind you that she said, "I promise, no new spending". The first thing she did was give everyone in Congress a massive pay raise.
So, I am venting here. You and I need to have a conversation about this. But first you need to listen to the other side. If you get your news from NBC, CBS or NPR, then you are being fed the liberal agenda and you need to get some balance. I know you hate FOX, but that's just because the liberals tell you to hate FOX. Don't let them lie to you any more. They despise you anyway and only want to monetize you. Just drop off the key, Lee....and get yourself FREE.
