A New Day

  Tis a new day here in southwest Colorado, and a glorious one at that. Crisp new snows on the peaks explain the snappy temps outside. The finches and sparrows are all puffed up as they snack at the feeder in the leafless tree. For now there is no snow sticking to the earth at 6500 feet...but we know it will come and wrap the fields in brilliant white blankets. Then everything will sleep underneath trillions of unique crystalline masterpieces of frozen dihydrogen oxide.

 While the earth takes its winter nap, I find myself hoping for an awakening of the American masses. Are you too sleepy from your years of entertainment and opulence? Or can you see that we are teetering on the edge of a societal shift? It actually seems like a knife edge to me, with two possible sides to slide down.

 Will we fall to the left, where our government has led us over the past 50 years? The leftist, socialist abyss that so many nations have tried and failed at in the past and present? Do YOU, American, really want to go any further down that road? Can you not see what is happening in the socialist countries of the world right now? The bankruptcies, riots and revolts in the EU should speak for themselves. The lost decade(s) in Japan show what happens if we go down the road and then keep going forward in denial. Or should we just melt into the mediocrity of lukewarm democracy like Canada all for a little over-priced and under-delivered health care? Perhaps a full-blown communist dictatorship is more to your liking. That is what awaits us on the left hand side of the knife edge. The Nazis (National Socialist Party) and the Soviets, The Cubans and Brazilians, they all got their start from the discontent with the status quo. The flamboyant leaders promise change from the left. They promise progress, but deliver death and slavery, destroying the human spirit and eliminating God along the way. Desperation ensues EVERY TIME. They always come from the left, every time.

 Today in America we are at a crossroads. This last election reflects the reality that we are frightened and angry with the way the Obama administration took the wheel of government and slammed it to the left. American voters OVERWHELMINGLY said "Stop Right There! No More!" If it had been the Democrats taking that many seats back from the Republicans, there would have been three weeks of bold letter headlines in all the liberal rags and on all the network news. They would have been so proud of the people of America for speaking up. Remember when Obama won? What a media circus.

 Now, the mainstream media has forgotten the landslide conservative (not Republican) victory, and is instead focusing their attention on propping up the lame duck liberals as they try to ram through the rest of their evil, socialist agenda before they get fired for ever. Don't think they are socialists yet? Well, look up the definition of socialism in the dictionary. Here:

  NBC probably doesn't spend much time on this, but do you realize that the Obama administration has taken over very significant sections of our automotive industry, our insurance industry, our banking sector, our health care system, our food production sector (if that doesn't scare you then you are truly numb) and God knows what else. That is the definition of socialism. Do we want these powers to pass forward to the next group of Retardicans or Dumbocrats?

 I hope you "educated", intelligent people can divorce yourself from the propaganda that is served up on NPR radio and in the Associated Press. They are only feeding you the "national" bill of goods. The media is carrying out the agenda of the left. Is that not obvious to you? Please wake up and listen to something else. Listening to nothing would be much better. They lied to you in college and turned you into a liberal (is that why they call it liberal arts?) and they are counting on your continued commitment to their brainwashing. You need a dose of antidote.

 Do the nation a favor. You owe us this. You need to be balanced by some conservative thought. This will be unpleasant at first, but ultimately rewarding. your brain is used to tasting the same subtle stream of socialist porridge. The conservative voices will seem harsh and grating at first. The reason is because truth can be abrasive, and these folks are intensely disgusted with the lies that you have swallowed. Please be patient. Please take notes. Please pray to discern the truth. Please tell me about any lies you hear from them. Lets talk about it, because ONLY the TRUTH can set us free. If you believe a lie, then you will act on it. I don't believe that you want to act on lies.

 And never forget this. The left doesn't want you to know the truth. They want to play on your emotions. They will say anything to stay in power, but they don't really care at all about you. You are nothing more than a vote to them. And remember this: government is the least efficient way to get anything done, they absolutely suck at everything they do. They drive every program into bankruptcy, because they steal money from every program to fund their own wealthy/lazy lifestyles. If you vote for the left, then don't be surprised when your freedoms evaporate and your wages, savings and lifestyle diminish.

 Our only hope to return to strength as a nation is to go back to our constitutional roots. This would be a nearly 180 degree turn to the right, because ALL of our founding fathers recognized that the constitution was designed to govern a moral and religious people. We are going to have to (eventually) get these teachings back into our schools. We must educate ourselves and our children about what these men thought and said. They sacrificed everything to give future generations a chance to live FREE. And as we turn away from the tenets that they held sacred, we lose that very gift of liberty.


Its never been done before, this turning back to founders principles. But then again, there has never been an America before either. We can do this with help and guidance from our Creator.

Yahweh, help us! We need you back at center stage once again. We have turned our backs to you and we are sorry for that. We have spent our lives indulging our own selfish desires and have denied your commandments and precepts. Please forgive our transgressions and show us how to be pleasing to you. As we obey, please begin to restore our peace and prosperity as you did at the founding of this country. We ask for leaders who honor you and your ways. We humbly ask for your mercy. Amen.
