Just When....

 Just when I think there is not a politician on the planet with a spine, I heard one speak! Driving home yesterday and listening to Glenn Beck, he played a clip of Nigel Farage addressing the European Parliament. I found myself laughing and yelling agreements toward the radio. My God I wish we had some men who could speak like this to the US congress, for we are only a step or two behind the Eurocrats on the march to financial democide. Nigel's is the kind of thinking and speaking that the Freemergency creed embraces....Set us free from your weasely, thievish ways that enslave us! FANTASTIC IRREDUCABILITY

Have you seen this photo on the internet lately? It's a microscopic view of the face of a daddy-long-legs spider! Wow! My family and I just watched a video called "Unlocking The Mystery of Life" produced by Illustra Media, and whenever I see something this amazing, like the spider eyes above, I think about how fantastic life is!

 Look at all of the tiny features that make up the eye sockets on this critter. Now ask yourself what those tiny features are made of. If any one of those components is not working properly, then the entire design breaks down. This is called "irreducible complexity". In other words, you get down to a point where every single component must be in its place, doing its thing, at the right time and nothing can be missing.

 How does one get this point across without beginning to imply that everything appears to have an intelligent design? Rather than have a zealot like myself try and convince you that biological evolution is a farce, I will direct you to watch the aforementioned video. There you will see some very smart scientists coming to the same conclusion. They show us how information is stored, shared and expanded within the cells of living creatures. It is truly mind-boggling. They also explain the concept of irreducible complexity much better that I do. PLEASE do yourself a favor and watch this highly entertaining and interesting show.  One place they don't go is to ask the question that come to my mind: When you get down to the smallest particles that we can see or even conceive of, what are those made of? I have my own answer. What is yours? This is where you press the comment button.

Family

 If we watch for a while, we begin to see some connecting patterns. People generally tend to form into groups. But before we can gaze upon groups of people, we must determine from where all of these folks come. First, is the family group. Every single human comes from a human sexual union of one male and one female, is birthed by a human mother, and (increasingly rarely) is accompanied, protected and provided for by a human father. So here we have a major piece of the puzzle. The family unit. There are no more humans if we end the idea or function of the family. The thieves have been hard at work in this area. We will look deep here for answers.

Government

There must be a human need for government, because everybody’s got one. There are republics, democracies, communisms, socialisms, dictatorships, priesthoods, and monarchies to name a few. Here in America we have a democratic republic, that arguably has been the most successful form of government of all time. But clearly there is now massive corruption in the system. There are foxes in the henhouse stealing the eggs. What do they take from us and how? What can be done about it? Is there any better system? And what is the future of government? What will they be plundering from us in the future? We had better consider this stuff now if we want to maintain any level of freedom for our children and grandchildren.

Work

 People also form work groups. Each individual contributes something extremely valuable to the work piece. Some individuals are a complete drain on the workforce, others seem to be super achievers. If there were no work being done on the planet, then there would be no food being picked or raised, no water being pumped, no shelter being built, and those are just the basics. My God in Heaven, what about the cars and trucks and MP3 players? Those all take work too. So, why is it that so many of us hate to go to work. Why is work so tiring, frustrating and physically painful? Perhaps the thieves are at work in this area? Me thinks it is so, and we will open an investigation into the field of labor. 

Freedom

There is just something in the heart of man that longs for freedom. Some people want to feel free to steal from you. Others just want to be free to live a quiet and peaceful existence. How do the two co-exist? Where does the idea of freedom come from? Why would anybody want to take away anyone else’s freedoms? Is anybody taking yours? For thousands of years throughout history, we see the repeating pattern of civilizations gaining and losing their freedom to governments. Why does the pattern exist and why does it never end? What are the forces at play and can we stop the thievery of this highly prized blessing? We are free for the time being to explore the possibilities. So we will.

The Stuff. 

  Everybody loves stuff. Now, each person, each family, each neighborhood, each nation has its own list of favorite stuff to have. What is the stuff made of? Obviously, every single object on Earth is composed of things from the Earth. Is it made of air, metal, wood, stone, oil, water, mud, polyester or plants? Yes, plastic is oil based. Then it is provided for by the stuff the Earth is made of. It is mind boggling to think about all of the stuff we can make from the stuff the Earth is made of. So how do I get my hands on the stuff? Who controls the stuff? Who’s stuff is it? We are talking about natural resources here and their importance for human existence. Are there thieves at work in this area manipulating the rest of us with the stuff? Hmmmm. 

Religion.

  There’s a big one. Apparently, most people on Earth have a desire or a need to contemplate the reality of there being Someone or Something else involved in all of this. It certainly is a rational way to begin to explain the wondrous machinery in the cell and the amazing stuff the planet is made of. Other people are repelled by the idea of a Creator, choosing to believe that everything came from nothing, which naturally leads to a wide variety of “schools of thought”. Either way, I contend that both views, indeed all views are a form of “religion”. Religion is the way each of us chooses to make sense of things. Whatever your religion is, even and especially if it is atheism, you must eventually say to yourself, “This is what I believe.” No matter how you slice it, that is a statement of Faith. Your are standing on something that you believe explains your existence, and no one position can provide irrefutable proof as to its claim. Everybody is religious, and everybody invests in their religion. Humongous amounts of stuff are funneled into religion. Is there any doubt that there is some stealing going on in this sphere? I think not.

Time

 It’s about time! Have you ever heard that expression? What does that mean? Honestly, I don’t really know what that means myself, but I do know that time itself is a precious gift. If you happen to find yourself somewhere in time, then you too have been given a portion of time as represented by the fact that you are here, now, sucking up time, stuff, and religion. But what is time? And why does it fly by so swiftly? Is there anything stealing your time away? Has anybody ever “wasted” your time? Is it your time to waste? These are heady questions to be sure. And certainly, if time is such a treasured commodity, then there are thieves out there looking to snarf it up. Let us ferret out the thugs and see if we can free up some more of our time and put it to better use. Isn’t it about time for that?

Space

Where do we start with space? We can look out into space and either take it for granted, marvel at its beauty, or drop our jaws as we attempt to grasp the immensity and perfect order of it all. Out in space, all seems to be in order. Just in our solar system we see perfect orbits and precisely sized planets and moons with mega-giant Jupiter and its huge gravity sucking in all the junk so we don’t get hit with it. Outer space is another one of those “impossible” mysteries, and one that doesn’t do much good to contemplate. Lets wrestle with the space down here on Earth. First off, wow! I am thankful for space. As a custom home builder I am awed by the ways we can arrange matter around space and the ways in which I can space things apart, like tiles or windows. Then there are the times that I need personal space....for various reasons. Other times I want the space between myself and other humans to be much smaller. Space is another forgotten commodity of life. But where would we be without space? Why is space so expensive? Is someone stealing space? Maybe.

They

 Who are they? Is there a “them” that seeks to enslave us? If so, how do we stop them, assuming we want to live in a state of freedom? For the purposes of this writing, “They” are going to have to be categorized as anyone or anything who would steal from us, whether intentionally or not. They may be educators or rulers or employers, friends, enemies, systems, ideas, ideologies, or otherwise. And since there is no there creature on earth with the ability to plan a theft of your time, space, or stuff.....then they must be people or people based ideas. In the end we will find lots of thems, and you may discover that you are them and that I am them. They may have been so effective at recruiting, that we didn’t realize our complicity with their plans. You may decide that you want to stay on their side and steal our stuff, or you may decide that you, as one of them, are disgusted with what they do and make a shift to another team, a team made up of understanding, love, and compassion and the drive to live and help others live in a state of freedom, prosperity, peace and truth. I hope you are one of us, not they. The end goal here is to develop, through truth, fewer of them and more of us. Why? You know why.

Truth

 “ I solemnly swear to tell the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the Truth, so help me God.” This is the oath taken by anybody offering testimony before a court of law. Interesting that people will give this oath, knowing that they have all been liars in their lives, isn’t it? It would appear that each of us demands the truth in all circumstances that pertain to our own lives. Unfortunately, the truth is not what we are always given. Wouldn’t life be simpler if we all told the truth all of the time? Some people say there is no truth. At one critical juncture in history, one man asked another, “What is truth?”. So what is it? Are there any overarching truths that make Space, Time, Work, Family, Religion and Stuff work properly? If there were, would you follow? If there were, why would anybody want to twist the truth? And if you twist the truth, are you then a stealer of truth? A truth thief would be the ultimate thief, able to manipulate the thoughts and actions of humans and gain access to their hearts, minds and wallets. Ooooh, surely we would never allow such a robber to infiltrate or midst. But judging by the deep divides easily visible between peoples, we must assume that there have been criminals at work in the fabric of truth. Is there any truth at all? We shall see.

 Very likely, there will not be enough Time to fully explore each of these areas. Each one of these topics has been the focus of many an author or commentator. These are endless subjects in a way, as they should be, and we may never fully be in control of them. But we will be able to understand them enough to help us comprehend how these things shape our thoughts and lives. As each additional segment is added to the big picture, we will see how they all connect together and make us who we are. When we understand who we are, and can see it from a distance, we can then begin to restore the chips, tears, holes and gaps in our own souls. We can begin to redirect our individual, family, local and national goals and intentions. We can confess our wrongs and heal. We can become more of what we were designed to be.

Morning in America

Good morning folks. If you are one of my 10 visitors, then welcome back. Apparently my daughter put the link to my blog up on Facebook, and a few people from there came and visited. I hope you scrolled down and read the original post and not just my Black Friday rant. But hey, maybe you read yesterday's post and were in some form of agreement or reflection? Please, let me know what you think. I am not afraid of other positions.

 Today is Saturday, the 7th day of the week, if you look at the calendar. And according to my understanding, this is the day of rest, set aside for us since the first week of creation. So, stay home and relax, reflect on the blessings your creator has given you, don't go out into the marketplace. Instead of spending money, spend something more valuable....time. Time with your family and with God.

 Scripture of the day: Psalm 2
 I can see how this Psalm accurately answers the question: Why are the peoples of the Earth so messed up?

Why do the nations rage and the peoples meditate a vain thing? The kings of the Earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Yahweh, and against his anointed, saying, Let us break their bonds asunder and cast away their cords from us.
 He that sits in the heavens will laugh: Yahweh will have them in derision. Then will He speak to them in his wrath, and vex them with his severe displeasure: Yet I have set my king upon my Holy hill of Zion. I will tell of the decree: Yahweh said to me, You are my son; this day I have begotten you. Ask of me and I will give you the nations for your inheritance, and the utmost parts of the Earth for your possession.
 You shall break them with a rod of iron; you shall dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel.
 Now therefore be wise, O you kings: Be instructed, you judges of the earth. Serve Yahweh with fear, and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the son lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, for his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are they that take refuge in him.


 So, why is everything so screwed up in the world? Well, when I look at myself and my failures in life, I have to admit that the reason I feel like I am off of the road, is because I am off of the road. The road is Yahweh's way, his guidelines for living, his laws. And I, like everyone else, am always trying to amend the rules and make up my own. It just never works in the long run. This idea of being your own man and making your own way, is what has been taught to us as Americans. But this is nothing new. As we can see from David's writing, the same problem existed in his day. People have always sought to "break their bonds asunder and cast their cords from us". We say to each other, and ourselves, "I don't want to be constrained by Anybody's rules" and so strike out on our own.

 The problem is, the entire universe is built with these principles weaved right into the fabric of existence. When Yahweh spoke at creation, and things began to appear in their perfect order and all things were created through his Son (the anointed in the Psalm above), their words contained the very essence of the Godhead itself. Yahweh IS His word, and His word is Him. They are inseparable and perfect. That Word is in all things and makes all things. It is the very foundation of life!

 When we decide to steer off the road and chart our own path, with our own ideas about how to conduct our lives and businesses, we are throwing off the cords that are meant to keep us safe in God's will. I have done this in my life, and you in yours. So has each person and nation on Earth. And so, we shouldn't be surprised when we find ourselves out of balance, out of favor, and scratching our collective heads in dismay.

 The answer? Simply turn back to God and submit yourself to His ways. They are not burdensome. They set you free and that is the Truth. Living by Yahweh's principles for living, known as the Torah and found throughout every book of Holy Scripture, is the easiest, most rewarding way to walk through life. When I apply these principles to my life, things just seem to work better. Go figure. Its almost as if the Master of the universe knows what he is talking about!

 So why don't you give Him a call today? He would love to hear from you. The call is toll free from anywhere. Just call on His name, Yah. The Father's name is Yahweh. The Son's name is Yahshua. Just call on them, tell them what's going on, what you need. Then be quiet for a while and listen. I'd love to know what you have to say to each other. Share if you can.

Black Friday .....again

Good day. It's a good day to NOT go shopping. I am pleased to say that I haven't been Christmas shopping in well over 10 years. In fact, I am most pleased to say that I have been removed from the bondage of Christmas for that last decade.

 Oh my! you say. "How can you say that about the blessed day of your sweet Savior's birth!!??" Well, namely because as a "Christian" I know, without a doubt that our Savior was NOT born on December 25th, but was far-more-likely born on one of the fall Feast days found in Scripture....probably the Day of Trumpets. For those of you who care about the truth of this earth changing event, you should revisit your Bibles and do a little research for yourselves. I am confident that you will discover NO exact date given for the arrival of The Messiah in Bethlehem, but you will find that at the time of His birth, there were shepherds sleeping out in the fields with their flocks. You just don't do that in Israel in late December (they are at the same latitude as us in Colorado). You can also find the time of His cousin John's birth (in the spring) and then project forward the 6 months and find the time of Messiah's birth.

 But, I think more importantly, we are not given a date to celebrate, because His birthday is relatively insignificant to the day of His death. Now there is a day to remember and celebrate, and what do you know.....we are commanded to keep that day, The Feast of Passover, forever. If you have never observed the Biblcal Feasts, The Feasts of Yahweh, then you are missing out on a real treat and you are not keeping the Covenant that you were put under when you accepted Christ as your redeemer. These are not "Jewish" feasts as the "Church" teaches, but they are the Feasts of God, established for all of His people, to be observed for all time.

 Sadly, most of you would rather spend your time this winter following the recommendations of the merchants, and observing a day that historically was a day of pagan worship of the sun. Yes, that's right. December 25th is right after the winter solstice, and pagan Rome would worship the return of the sun at that time. So, you can be in bondage to the ideas of pagans, or you can do like me.....blow off Christmas, save yourself some time and money, get out there and give something to someone who needs it this winter. THAT is your Christian duty.

 Or, you can go shopping. Hmmm

Well, what a fitting day to begin this project. It is Thanksgiving Day 2010 and I for one am a VERY thankful man.

 I give thanks to my Creator ( I believe in the God of the Bible, YHWH, Yahweh the Great I AM) for all of the blessings that my family and I enjoy. We have health, minimal wealth, and limited stealth. I offer thanks for my lovely wife of almost 20 years, my awesome 15 year old daughter, and my dear old mom, who is still chuggin’ along. I am thankful to have some friends and fellow believers to hang out with and fellowship. And I am thankful for the chance to talk to you, gentle reader.

 I am quite hopeful that together we can begin to restore ourselves and our families and our country....that we can begin to turn back the tide of lies and robbery that have eaten away at the shores of our human freedom.

 I have started writing a book with the hopes of someday publishing it for the masses. Rather than wait till it is done, I have decided to post it here in pieces. That way, I can accelerate to the main target, which is to get YOU involved in a conversation.

 I hope to learn something from you and I hope to teach you something about us as humans. I feel that now is my time to share what I have learned over the years about people and the ways in which we fall down, destroy and fail.....and then get back up, overcome and emerge victorious.

 Against all evidence, I have tremendous hope for you as a person and us as a group of people. We were created with such wonderful gifts and possibilities. It is my desire to illuminate the ways in which those gifts and opportunities are pilfered from us, and to look for ways to get them back to where they once belonged. Get back Joe.

Hey, c'mon everybody! Where is everyone? I posted this thing yesterday! Should I have a large following and herds of clamoring advertisers yet? I guess I had better add some more content ? ok then, here's some more.

Breaking It Down

 OK, We are talking about humanity here. This is a big subject stretching back thousands of years and running down all sorts of potential rabbit trails. Let us break this down into edible pieces. Humans are incredibly complex creatures, unlike anything else that we know of in the universe. Each and every human is a walking wonder of incredible mystery. Did you ever stop and ask, “Why am I even breathing? And how does my heart keep beating without my permission?” If not, then ask yourself that simple, profound question.

 The fact of the matter is that we really don’t know. We do know that each cell of your body is in direct communication with the rest of your body, and that all the cells are powered, driven, cleaned and maintained by chemical/electrical processes and microscopic, organic machines. Each living machine is uniquely programmed to accomplish its function. Each machine operates in complete harmony with the trillions of other machines in there. It is impossibly complex. It is wonderful. That is on the inside.

 On the outside of humans, once you get past the fabulous canvas of human skin, bone and muscle (all functioning in silent, perfect design) we get to see the culmination of all the design. We see humans in their human nature. Each one has totally unique set of experiences that lead, indisputably to what we see there on the road. A man, woman or child walking along. He might be whistling or shouting angry words, she might be raising her arms to the sky worshipping her  creator or screaming at a tree and pulling her hair out. And somehow there are billions of us walking down the roadways of life, moving all over the Earth’s surface. From 50,000’ it might look something like those trillions of machines that maintain our red blood cells.

 How can we look inside the human race and understand what it is that inevitably leads us into wars, corrupt forms of government, environment and body poisoning greed, and countless varieties of self-destruction? After all, we are all really quite the same when you peel back the social and religious outer layers. It will be instructive to carve out some areas that we all have in common, call then the universals. Things that cut across all human societies and time periods. From here we can examine our foundations and begin to look for places where erosion and theft may be at work, weakening our structure.

 What do we have in common? What things are universally seen in play in our various cultures. Let us break it down now, from 50,000 feet.

Everything is not making sense!

THINGS THEY STEAL

 Something is wrong. Something is missing. It seems that no matter how hard you try, no matter how much you pray, no matter the number of battle fronts, victories, losses, takeovers, policies, administrations, approaches, angles and opinions....the dots never seem to connect. The picture never comes completely into focus. The plan never comes totally to fruition. Always a setback, always a frustration. Everything is just not making sense.

 So. Why is that? It seems to me that there are pieces missing. Or perhaps roadblocks have been erected to keep us from our ultimate goals. If we float way back, to say....50,000 feet in history’s sky, we can begin to see that there are indeed pieces of the puzzle missing, stretches of road have been blown up. Somebody has been creeping out in the night to thwart our plans and slow our progress. Who? Why? Let’s find out.

 The purpose of this book is not to cast blame. Lord knows we could have lots of fun and start numerous, endless wars if we just cast the blame at each other, or better yet at anonymous others. The purpose of this book is to identify what, if anything, is standing in the way of humanity’s effort to better themselves. And then to trace the footprints of the thugs and thieves of peace back to their hideouts. Maybe ask them outside for a chat. Maybe then we can get to the bottom of why they set these traps. Why do they steal our opportunities for peace and prosperity? And can we take back what they have stolen?

 The ultimate goal here is to establish grace, balance, love, fun, joy and freedom in the lives of those around us and in ourselves. it is my firm belief that we are special creatures designed with special abilities and with special responsibilities. When these amazing gifts are secreted away from us, and we delegate those responsibilities and gifts to “others”, we are then forfeiting our access to the blessings that come with assuming and executing the things we are able and privileged to do, namely to live free and prosperous in harmony with our world, its inhabitants and its Creator.

 I have a tremendous amount of hope for us.
